Electric Heating Mat HAKL TF - installation

To prevent the damage of the heating mat, clean the installation place from the dust and sharp pieces. By fixing the flexible adhesive well to the lower surface you will prevent the floor from later flaking.
Warning
In case that the base is made of old tile floor or it is very dusty concrete, the manufacturer suggests to use the penetrating paint on the floor before the installation.

The cable and sensor must be placed in a protective plastic conduit, which is water-resistant closed by metal conduit. It will guarantee the protection against sensor damage and in case of malfunction it can be taken out of the plastic conduit. The sensor must be placed in the middle between heating cables.
Warning
Check carefully if the thermostat sensor is placed in the protective metal conduit. If not, the thermostat would not react correctly to the set temperature.

The right shape is reachable by cutting the fibreglass net. Do not damage the heating cable! Place the heating mat min. 5cm from the wall and leave some space under places where objects will stand with their full weight (furniture etc.).
Warning:
To achieve ideal placement of the heating mat, it is possible to loosen one more meander (cable bend). Heating cables cannot touch one another.

Place the heating mat with the heating cable upwards. Secure the heating mat against unwilling movement with the two-sided adhesive tape. The minimum distance between the cables is 30mm.
Warning
Floor material dilatation must be adequately considered especially when mounting the area of more than 20 m². Heating mat must not be installed across the dilatation gaps. If needed it should be placed in protective conduit.

Pour the flexible adhesive putty equally on the heating mat. Flexible and freeze resistant adhesive and filling putty is suggested. Using the spatula, carefully eliminate all air bubbles. If the ground surface is rough, the manufacturer suggests to glue the ceramic flooring after the adhesive putty gets dry.
Warning
Considering the wide range of adhesive putty products, the manufacturer suggests to keep to the specialist's advice.

Do not use the heating mat sooner than 72 hours after the mounting. Always keep to the electric scheme when connecting the heating mat and the thermostat to the electrical network.
Warning
The connection of the Heating Mat Hakl TF should be done by a specialist.

During the installation always check and measure the correct value of the heating cable. The method is shown according to the Certificate of Quality as a wire conductor measurement scheme. Should there be any deviations beyond the tolerance level, stop the mounting immediately and always contact the manufacturer or the seller.
Warning
When measuring the value of the heating mat always keep to the instructions or call a specialist.

[M4] - measuring values M4 with the indicator of the insulating resistance. Correct value: 1,000V for 30 sec. Measured values must keep to the Certificate of Quality. Tolerated min. value is 2 micro Ohms.

Warning
Always write the measured values to the warranty sheet. The warranty is not valid when the data are not filled in.
